The emphasis of LAUNCH is education and employment. If you haven’t finished high school, we can help you finish school or obtain your GED. If you have finished High School or received your GED, we can help figure out where to go from there.

If you don’t know what career is right for you, we can help you explore your options and identify a career path. We can facilitate job-shadowing, work experiences, and on-the-job training to acquaint you with the work world, while providing you with coaching and mentoring along the way.

If you want to go to college or post-secondary training, but have limited financial means, we can help with that, too. Some of our clients receive scholarships and other financial assistance to pursue their education. Our trained coordinators can assist you with completion of a Pell Grant and applications for college. Many participants are currently attending post-secondary training/college. Many have already received degrees and certifications, and have doubled their incomes. Our first Associate Degree recipient graduated in 2004.

If you’re not getting the job you want, we can help you build a good resume, provide interviewing skills, and other work readiness information. We can show you how to be successful on the job, how to understand the environment of your new job, and we can coach you when questions come up..

If you think you’re alone, you’ll get to know other young people in our program who have the same questions and some of the same issues you do. Our programs and field trips are an open invitation to all LAUNCH participants to come together, have fun, share ideas, and take home information on a wide variety of topics.
